About Me

I grew up a a Cali girl, Northern California playing just about any sport and making my way through school with the least amount of effort. I ended up getting a scholarship to play basketball at The University of Alaska, Anchorage, because that seemed like the furthest place to get away from “home”.

After four years of playing basketball; I had a degree in marketing, a serious boyfriend, a torn rotator cuff, and an itch to again move really far away. I landed an internship at a company that, at the time put on extreme sports type events all over the nation. They were headquartered in Southern Cali, so that’s where I went. After a short stint there, I moved back up to Alaska, where my now husband had taken over my 1 bedroom apartment. I needed to find a job, preferable in sports marketing, because that’s what made sense. You can imagine how many of those were hanging around Anchorage, Alaska. Yep, you guess it, not many.

So, I ended up landing a job at a Credit Union. Pretty much the dream job. Just kidding.

I would later learn that starting my career off in sales at one of the largest credit unions in the nation would be a blessing. I now believe that everyone should have a sales and waitress job, sometime in their life.

My serious boyfriend proposed, I said yes, I had surgery to fix my shoulder and then we got married.

We quickly decided to relocate to Washington State. Neither of us really like outdoor activities that are popular in Alaska. We both love music, travel, and events, which was difficult to enjoy in Alaska. So, we packed up the Jetta and drove all the way down to Seattle and ended up landing in Tacoma, WA.

We then took the next several years, I think how many couples do:

We got pregnant, bought a house, got pregnant again, had a miscarriage, got pregnant again, freaked out on each other, changed jobs, moved to a bigger house, got pregnant again, changed jobs, started our own business, figured out a lot about ourselves, then bought another house and moved my mom in with us.

The Fam!

Ok, maybe it isn’t exactly like others, but I think it may feel familiar to many of you.

Six years ago, I thought I was walking away from my career by quitting to run our business. Little did I know, it would be a decision I never once regretted and that not only could I build a strong, healthy business, but I would find love in helping people every day become stronger both mentally and physically. I used to think that phrase, “if you really love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work”, was a load of shit. Now, I am that person. Every day I am thankful that I get to do exactly what I want to do every day.

So, while myself with the help of my amazing team have helped thousands of people over the years at our brick and mortal business, I can’t help but think there is more out there. And that’s how we got here. My goal is to help 1,000,000 people.

What does that look like?

I have no idea, but follow along and we are going to figure it out. Or at least have fun while doing it.

We’re going to be talking about cool mom stuff. (ok, not all that cool) But, we are going to be talking to cool, strong women, who balance it all in unique ways that might help you.

We’re going to be talking about marketing, specifically social media marketing and business stuff. Marketing is my jam, I love it, and would love to help out as many small business owners as I can.

So, sit back and read, listen, and watch, or shoot me a message and we can connect. I look forward to meeting you soon.
